What are the Hair-iD VHS Collections?


a. Extensions – each bundle of machine weft extensions is approximately 100 grams in weight. Lengths start from 12” and go up to 28”. For more information click here

b. Closure Systems – closures are available with a lace or silk base. Lengths start from 12” and go up to 28”. For more information click here

c. Bespoke Hairline Wig Collection – these are full lace based wigs which have been created to give the illusion of natural hair growth around the hairline. What is the difference between a Closure and Frontal? 


Closures are used to avoid any leave out and are positioned at the top of the head to "close" the remaining install. Our closures are 4” x 4”. 

Frontals are applied along the entire front hairline from ear to ear and along the temples. This means they can be parted anywhere along the entire front hairline for more versatility than a closure.

Our lace based closures and frontals are created using a lace mesh system which allows the scalp to breath and mimics a "parting".

Our silk based closures and frontals match the natural colour and hair growth of the scalp and create a flawless looking finish. 


How many machine weft bundles do I need to weave my hair or create a wig? 


This depends how full you would like your style to be. For a realistic looking head of hair (roughly 120% density) we recommend the following:


12” – 16” x  3 bundles  (plus a closure) 

18” – 22” x  4 bundles  (plus a closure) 

24” – 28” x 6 bundles  (plus a closure) 


Please bear in mind that as the length of the hair increases, the width of the weft shortens. 


Where does your hair come from? 


All of our hair is sourced from consenting donors in Southeast Asia and is of the highest quality you will find with all cuticles facing the same direction and no short hairs visible (double drawn). 


Delivery - How much is it and how long does it take?


The cost of delivery depends on where your order will be shipped to and this will be confirmed when you are at the checkout. When you place your order online you will receive an email confirmation from "orders@hair-id.co.uk". At the bottom of that email the date that your order is due for dispatch will be detailed.

We use the Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed and International Tracked and Signed services which means if you are based in the UK your order should arrive the working day after dispatch. If you are based outside of the UK your order can take 10 - 14 days to arrive. For more information click here. ?


Why haven’t I received a response to my email, text, voicemail, private message or comment? 


If you have tried to contact us but don’t seem to have received a response first of all let us apologise. Next please work your way through these trouble shooting options until the right one works for you: 

a. We aim to respond to messages within 48 hours although during times of high demand or due to circumstances out of our control this can sometimes be longer. Please be patient we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible. 

b. Check your junk mail box for an email from us. If we are not set us as a contact in your address book your browser may send our email to your junk mail. 

c. Please only email us from one email account. If you place an order with us we will only communicate with you using the email address your order was originally made with. 

d. Due to the number of private messages and comments made on a daily basis, regrettably we are not always able to respond to every message. If we seem to have missed your comment we apologise and ask that unanswered questions are emailed to info@hair-id.co.uk.



What does “virgin hair” mean? 


The term “virgin” means that the hair arrives to you in its natural state and has not been chemically processed at all. This means that the extensions have a long life span if they are cared for appropriately and can be cleansed and styled in the same way you would do with your own hair. You can also colour the hair and we advise that this is always done professionally. If you order an additional colour service your hair will no longer be virgin in nature. 


Is my hairline suitable for the Bespoke Hairline Collection? 


The Bespoke Hairline Collection has been created so that women can avoid using glue or any adhesive. In order to lie flat therefore the lace must be cut sing a particular method (not along a widows peak or along protruding temple hair). Where is Hair-iD VHS located? 


We are an online boutique based in the UK although we ship internationally. We do have “Viewing Days” every so often where you can come along to a location in the UK and view, try and buy from our Collections. Announcements in relation to viewing days are posted via our social media platforms. 


My order hasn’t arrived, what can I do? 


If your order hasn’t arrived when you expected it to please contact us via email with details of your tracking number. We will advise you as to the next steps based on the location your order was sent to. Orders are sometimes delayed through the postal system and waiting a week or so is usually enough. If your order still doesn't arrive we will ask the Royal Mail to investigate on your behalf. 


Can I speak to someone on the phone? 


Yes, we have dedicated call lines which are available to take calls. Please note our phone line operating times are Thursday - Sunday 9am - 8pm GMT which may differ from time to time depending on current demand. Please also bear in mind time differences as we are based in the UK. If we miss your call, please call back or try one of our trouble shooting suggestions from 11. Our call lines are not toll free. 


When is the next sale/ can I have a discount code?


We run promotional sales every now and then to say "Thank You" for your continued support. These are always spontaneous and regrettably we cannot alert you to sales beforehand. All sale announcements are made via our website home page & social media pages so keep an eye out for those discount codes!


Are there any reviews of your products?

1. How do I enter?

Submit 5 high resolution images must be submitted accompanied by a £50.00 entry fee. Click here to enter or visit the Competition page for more. 

2. Do I have to be based in London to enter?

No, submissions from Europe are welcome although you must be available in London for the live final. 

3. Is the trip to Atlanta paid for?

Yes! The trip to Atlanta will be paid for and includes accommodation which is also paid for. Travel insurance is not included and the winner must obtain their own travel insurance before travelling. The winner must also hold a valid passport, be permitted to travel to the US and obtain a VISA. 

4. I don't have professional images of my work, what shall I do?

Not to worry, as long as the pictures are clear and demonstrate your work they can be submitted.

5. What if I don't have a model for the live show?

You will need to provide your own model for the live event

6. How will I know if I'm through to the final?

Successful entrants will be notified by email on July 1st

7. Can I get my registration fee if I do not win?

Unfortunately not, the registration fee is non-refundable and is the fee charged to enter the competition.
